This viewpoint sits beside the Osoyoos welcome sign on Highway 3 as it drops off Anarchist Mountain toward town. From here you can trace the whole outline of Osoyoos Lake, the town and the houses around the shore, with the valley opening out beyond.
It's a quick photo stop. Reviewers say 10 to 15 minutes is plenty, and there's space for several cars at the front. It's free and open at all hours, and sunset is a favourite time.
It serves drivers heading west, down the mountain into town, who can't turn in to the Anarchist Mountain Lookout further up on the other side of the divided highway. Coming from Osoyoos, use that lookout instead.
Summer wildfire smoke can haze the view, as one recent visitor found, so a clear day is best.
