What visitors say

Treeosix runs a guided zipline tour through the lodgepole pines of the Centre Block in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, along with a forest disc golf course, a climbing wall, a parachute-style Treetop Drop and mini-zips for young children. With hundreds of reviews and almost all of them five stars, it's one of the most popular things to do in the park.

The guides get most of the credit. Families describe nervous kids being talked through the course calmly, guides who learn everyone's names, explain each step and keep the group laughing, and challenges along the way that add to the fun. Several parents say children who started out anxious wanted to go again by the end.

The disc golf course has its own fans. One couple played it daily, calling it short enough for beginners but tricky enough through the trees for experienced players, with good upkeep, clean washrooms and a shop selling discs and souvenirs. There are also electric fatbike rentals, and the snack shack nearby gets a nod for post-zip food.

Know the limits before you book. The zipline tour is for ages 6 and up with a minimum weight of about 50 lbs, and children 12 and under need an adult with them. You need to be comfortable with heights and follow the guides' instructions. The park runs in summer only, roughly mid-May to late August, and is closed some weekdays, so check the schedule and book ahead.
