You barely need to hike. BC Parks says the trail from the small lot before the sani-station is under a kilometre and takes a couple of minutes; reviewers put it at up to ten. It's easy enough for young kids, and one family spent half an hour exploring the creek below the falls. Another visitor found it 10 to 15 degrees cooler by the water on a hot day.
The park also has a campground, a day-use area and a warm, man-made swimming lagoon about 60 m across, with no lifeguard and no roped-off area. Dogs must be leashed, apart from an off-leash area where they can swim. Anglers can fish Blanket Creek and nearby Upper Arrow Lake with a BC licence; BC Parks suggests launching at Arrow Lakes Provincial Park to the south, as the reservoir near Blanket Creek isn't very productive.
