Struthers Lake is a small lake in the parkland southwest of Kinistino, reached on gravel roads. The regional park sits on the south shore, with cabins across the water at Barney's Bay. It's a calm, tree-lined spot rather than a big-view lake, and regulars describe it as easy-going and less hectic than busier lakes nearby.
The park is built around families. There's a sandy beach, a water slide that runs right into the lake, a splash park, playgrounds, mini golf and a volleyball court, plus nature trails and a campground with electric sites. Seven rental cabins come furnished, though you bring your own bedding and dishes. The concession food gets praised again and again.
There's a boat launch, and the lake is used for fishing, waterskiing and canoeing. Saskatchewan's lake information lists northern pike, walleye and yellow perch, and the province stocks walleye here regularly. A couple of reviewers had good days on the water.
Complaints mostly concern staff communication and consistency: uneven pricing for a group, conflicting rules on dogs, a disputed damage deposit and cabins missing advertised appliances.
