Potts Falls runs under a small walking bridge on the north branch of the Muskoka River, just downstream of High Falls. Reviewers say it feels more peaceful than its bigger neighbour, and they like the rock, moss, trees and wildflowers around it as much as the water.
It's about a five-minute walk from the High Falls area on a short trail, part of the Trans Canada Trail through the site. Signs are sparse, so it can take a moment to find. Several visitors suggest standing on the bridge, then heading a little downstream to look back up at it.
It's a good add-on to High Falls and Little High Falls, and an easy stop on the way to Algonquin Park. Photographers rate it highly. The river is open to angling under Ontario's regulations.
