The Hautes-Gorges park follows the Malbaie River through a deep valley of cliffs and mountains, and visitors often say it feels more like the West Coast than Quebec. Trails climb from the river past cascades to summits around 800 m and higher, with long views up and down the gorge.
The Acropole des Draveurs is the signature hike and a hard one. One hiker who did it says to allow a whole day, bring good boots and about two litres of water, and note that check-in runs only in the morning and a shuttle is involved. Other trails are shorter, and reviewers found them well marked and well maintained. Sépaq also rents bikes and kayaks, and there's a restaurant with local food and a shop.
