Mamquam Falls drops through a narrow rock canyon on the Mamquam River, a short drive from downtown Squamish. The water is a pale turquoise, and visitors spend time photographing the falls and canyon from several spots along the rim.

The free trail takes about 10 minutes and is easy for most people, though roots and rocks make sandals a bad idea. Parking is free but limited. The gravel road in is rough in places but fine for most cars if you take it slowly. There are few facilities, so bring water.

Squamish Canyon, a paid boardwalk attraction, now sits next to the falls, and its signs for hours and prices confused some visitors. They apply to the boardwalk, not the public trail: the free trail to Mamquam Falls is to the left of the parking area and is open any time.
