From the free parking lot it's a five to ten minute walk on a side trail of the Bruce Trail. The lot is small but turns over quickly. Getting to the bottom means descending steep, pointed rocks with a pre-tied rope, which reviewers found fun but not suitable for little ones. Kids enjoyed the shallow water above the falls instead.
Keen hikers can make a longer loop on the Bruce Trail, including a well-known route that links to Eugenia Falls. Anglers fish for speckled trout at the base of the falls and in the river below, under Ontario's regulations. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Come early in the morning or on a weekday to find parking and avoid crowds. The trail network can be confusing, and the rocks near the base are steep and slippery, so wear proper shoes.
