The main viewpoint is only a short walk from the lot, which suits families and anyone short on time. The site has picnic areas and plaques on its history, which includes a short-lived gold rush in the 1850s and one of Ontario's early hydro plants. Staff attend the entrance at busy times.
The Bruce Trail runs through the property. One route follows the escarpment for several kilometres to a high lookout and returns the same way, and another links to Hoggs Falls. Reviewers found the terrain easy to moderate but a few trail sections hard to follow, so bring a map.
Paid parking is the common complaint; one visitor felt the fee was steep for a 15-minute look, while others said it's worth it if you hike. Grey Sauble strictly prohibits going to the base of the falls, standing on top of them or crossing the fences. Flow drops in late summer.
