Crawford Falls, also known as Canyon Falls, is a pair of waterfalls tucked in a small, steep canyon on Kelowna's southeast side. Visitors who reach the bottom describe a quiet forest setting, a rocky pool under the falls and a strong flow in spring when the snow melts off the hills. There are mountain views from the top even if you go no further.
The hike is short but steep, with loose rock and roots. Reviewers recommend proper hiking boots or good trail shoes, and one parent said an 11-year-old managed it fine. It isn't a good choice for small children or anyone unsteady on their feet.
Access is the big caveat. The trail and stairs down to the falls have been closed on and off for slope instability, and the upper trail from Canyon Falls Court is the part that stays open. Some reviewers describe going past the closure anyway; we don't recommend it, and signs warn of loose rock.
