Canyon Falls Park, also known as Crawford Falls, protects a small canyon on Bellevue Creek in Kelowna's upper Mission. The payoff is two waterfalls: one closer to the trailhead and a second about 15 minutes further up, which is harder going. It's a quiet, green spot a few minutes from the suburbs.
When the trail is open, it's roughly 2.5 km return. One recent visitor called it easy overall but steep in places and not ideal for young kids. Another who went further described overgrown grass and prickly bushes, and suggested long pants. Hikers, mountain bikers and dog walkers all use the area, and one reviewer warned about ticks in spring.
The big caveat is access. The City of Kelowna has closed the trail down to the falls because of slope instability, and a visitor in April 2026 found the main trail still closed. The upper trail off Canyon Falls Court remains open, but it doesn't take you close to the water. Respect the closure signs and check the city's parks page for updates before making a special trip.
