Cameron Falls drops over layered rock right at the edge of the Waterton Park townsite, in Waterton Lakes National Park. It isn't a tall waterfall, but visitors say it's loud and powerful up close, and the rock around it gives it a character of its own. After heavy rain the water sometimes takes on a pinkish tint from sediment, which several people hoped to catch.
Access is about as easy as it gets. There's a short walk from parking to the viewing area, and some visitors walk over from the lakeshore beach, passing homes and the townsite campground on the way. Most treat it as a quick stop to stretch their legs and take photos before moving on to other park sights.
It fits into a day in Waterton well, with the townsite, lake cruises, Bertha Lake trail and Cameron Lake all close by.
