Trowbridge Falls Municipal Campground is run by the City of Thunder Bay, and reviewers agree the location is attractive. Some campers found the sites large with nice trees, and one appreciated the warm, spacious showers and the good service at the office. There is a store and laundry, and it is popular with pet owners.
Recent experiences are mostly poor, though. Several campers describe the campground as tired and badly maintained, with small, uneven sites, litter, mice, dirty bathrooms and, for one visitor, cold showers and toilets that would not flush. One camper found the only available 30-amp site was like a narrow driveway with no picnic table, and left for another campground.
Noise is a repeated problem. More than one visitor had a neighbour run a loud generator all night despite posted quiet hours. The office closes at 8 pm, and campers could not find a way to contact the overnight security company.
If you do stay, ask to see your site before settling in, bring change for the laundry and your own drinking water, and be ready for noise.
