Sites are spacious and well spaced, many backed by woods, so they feel fairly secluded. One camper's site fit three tents or structures and a vehicle, with two picnic tables and a fire pit with a grill. Some sites don't allow parking right beside them. Firewood is included with your reservation, picked up from a large woodshed, so there is no need to bring your own.
The composting toilets and sinks are described as clean, well maintained and surprisingly odour-free. Reviewers found it good for hikers, swimmers and even winter campers.
This is bear country, and staff patrol to make sure campsites are kept bare. One older review describes a bear visiting neighbours who ignored the rules, so store everything properly. That same camper had trouble reaching staff late at night about noisy neighbours.
