Redberry Lake Regional Park sits on a huge, shallow saline lake, and visitors are often surprised by how clear and warm the water is. The sandy beach is spacious and east facing, pelicans are everywhere, and the area is good for birdwatching.
Campers describe well-maintained sites and friendly staff. Most power outlets are set up for RVs, so one group with a large tent needed an extension cord and found power limited. There are showers that take loonies, outhouses, a water fill point and a washroom building, though one visitor found a toilet out of order and weak flushing, and another hopes the washrooms and showers get updated.
There's plenty to keep families busy: a playground on the beach, mini golf, golfing, ball diamonds, a trout pond, a boat launch and a rentable hall. The concession gets a lot of love, especially for its fries and perogy poutine. Hikers can walk an easy out-and-back trail of about 12 km with interpretive signs and a lighthouse detour.
The gravel road in from Borden is rough, and one visitor felt it made a day trip from Saskatoon a stretch, about an hour and a half each way. Tenters should bring a long extension cord, and a few loonies for the showers.
