Sites are big and the attendants friendly. Washrooms are described as clean, and firewood is reasonably priced, with a firewood truck doing several rounds in the evening for anyone who runs out. Despite being busy on long weekends, campers say it stays quiet, especially after 11 pm. There are plenty of RVs as well as tents.
It's a good base for mountain biking and hiking, with lots of trails around and paths down to the river. Elbow Falls is about five minutes' drive. The river is very cold, but one camper found it a welcome dip after a full day out.
It runs first come, first served, so arrive early on busy weekends. Some upper sites sit high above the river, which makes the trail down a bit of a trek.
