Area 1 is the more open section of Neys Provincial Park's campground, and reviewers rate the beach and the river mouth very highly. A fifth-wheel owner who stayed in 2025 found back-row sites private under tall pines and front-row lakeside sites with remarkable water views, at the cost of some seclusion. The other areas are more heavily forested, and one visitor found Area 3 too dark and closed in.
Recent campers mention clean, warm showers, plenty of shade and easy access from the registration office. Train fans can watch trains cross a trestle over the Little Pic River near the boat launch.
Those trains are also the main complaint: the CN line runs close to the campground, and two campers were kept awake by several passing between midnight and 6 am. A cyclist also found it about 5 km in from the highway, with a long ride from their site to the shower and laundry building and no drinking water. Bring earplugs, carry water, and pick a site near the facilities if you're on foot or bike.
