It's gated, private and across the river from the main campground, with riverfront spots, a big grassy area for games and a shelter with an efficient wood stove. One group fit a large motorhome, several trailers, truck campers and tents with room to spare, and stayed warm through a May long weekend snowfall. Floating the river between the south day area and the north campground is another favourite.
The only knock, from a recent group user, was that the group site wasn't well maintained. Weather can turn in spring, so pack for cold nights early in the season.
