Lion's Head Beach Park Campground sits on the harbour in the village of Lion's Head, next to a clean, soft-sand beach with views of the marina, the lighthouse and the bluffs. Many sites back onto the water.
It's a typical marina campground: small sites with a picnic table and fire ring, and little privacy. Bathrooms with showers use a code and are described as clean, with plenty of hot water. Groceries, coffee, a restaurant and a hardware store are all within walking distance.
Hikers use it as a base for the Bruce Trail, which passes by, and for the Lion's Head lookout and loop. It's easy to launch a kayak or swim from the beach.
Tent sites are squeezed between RVs, and some sites face a road where car campers have been noisy. One tenter found a concert running late behind the grounds. It's better as a practical base than for a quiet wilderness stay.
