The campground reopened after a two-year renovation. A returning RVer found upgraded 30 amp and water connections, replanted areas and new signage about the Anishinaabe people. Showers and a small convenience store are in the Philippe Lake area.
Anglers report good bass fishing, and many Taylor Lake sites sit right on the water. In winter, campsites are reached by a roughly 2.5 km ski or hike from the P19 parking lot, with firewood included. It's popular, so book well ahead.
Black flies and mosquitoes can be very bad in season. The Taylor Lake section has vault toilets only, so plan to drive to Philippe Lake for showers; a portable toilet can help.
