Heidi's Campground is a big park beside Highway 11, easy to spot by its water tower. It mixes permanent seasonal sites with spaces for travellers, and visitors are often surprised by how large it is once inside. Some sites are well treed and private, while the newer section is open with little shade.
Many guests have had good stays. Sites are larger than expected, with full hookups up to 50 amp, pull-throughs big enough for a 43-foot fifth wheel, and concrete patios. Wi-Fi is strong enough to stream, and staff are described as friendly, with one family allowed to check in early. There's a camp store, and Hawkstone down the road has more shopping.
Families have plenty to do. There's an indoor pool and hot tub, a large playground, a gym, a dog park and paved roads for biking. On weekends there can be bingo for adults and kids and extras like airbrush tattoos.
Recent reviews are much more mixed. Several visitors describe run-down, weedy sites, broken toys and garbage left around, overflowing bins and dated washrooms, with the newer back section lacking its own washroom block. Long-time campers are unhappy about unsupervised kids and fast golf carts in the seasonal area. Traffic noise from Highway 11 carries at night. If you're booking, ask for a well-maintained transient site away from the seasonal section, and check your site on arrival.
