Happy Land Park is a campground west of Thunder Bay, close to Kakabeka Falls. Recent campers describe it as quiet, clean and tidy, with mature trees giving shade and privacy between semi-private sites.
Full-service sites offer 30 and 50 amp power and water. Showers are free and get good marks, laundry is available, and the pool and hot tub are well maintained. Owners and staff were friendly, and one couple got help sorting a trailer problem.
It works as an overnight stop on the Trans-Canada or a base for touring the area. Some sites have a walk-through, useful when travelling with friends. One couple on a medical trip found it a good alternative when hotels were full.
One recent visitor had a curt exchange in the gift shop over its no-dogs rule. Dogs are welcome in the campground itself, but not in the shop.
