Gregg Lake Campground is part of Switzer Park, and reviewers like the whole area as much as the campground itself. There are several clean lakes nearby that are good for swimming, and the campground is described as quiet and well kept, especially on weekdays and in September when some loops are nearly empty.
It's well serviced for a provincial park. Sites have power and water, every loop has flush toilets, and showers are free. Several campers call the washrooms clean and the staff friendly and easy to deal with. One camper in loop A had a large, level and private pull-through site, and a visitor who relies on Starlink found it worked well.
Families are well looked after. There are three playgrounds, a boat launch with a small beach, and organized activities for kids on some weekends. You can rent a canoe or kayak right at the launch, and there's good hiking nearby.
Privacy is the most common criticism. Many sites have sparse trees between them, and one tent camper's neighbour's firepit was only a few metres away. A recent visitor noticed that a few sites in their loop back onto a wastewater facility and switched sites. One family had a frosty welcome when they arrived before check-in time on a full long weekend and couldn't park a trailer at the day-use area.
