Emerald Lake Regional Park is a small prairie lake park that visitors describe as a jewel, with clear, calm water and a tidy sandy beach. The swimming area is marked with buoys and usually has floating platforms, and a grassy hill with a little shade rises behind it. Some families have been coming since the 1990s.
