Camping Lac Magog sits on the lake of the same name near Sherbrooke, with a beach and sunsets over the water. Beyond regular sites, it offers some unusual stays: a treehouse-type space and a tent in the trees, which families with children loved, as well as chalets.
Guests in the rentals were happy. One family of seven fitted into the tent in the trees and stayed warm in September thanks to the heater provided. A chalet rental came with air conditioning, a well-stocked kitchen, a barbecue and a covered pergola.
There's plenty for families: more than one playground, a pool, activities for all ages, and paddle boat and pontoon rentals on the lake.
