The pads are packed sand and gravel, which one camper found left tents gritty on pack-up, and another struggled to stake a kitchen shelter into the rocky ground. Toilets close briefly for cleaning early in the morning. Bugs are manageable with repellent. Bring a ground sheet and sturdy pegs.
