Beaver Mines Lake Campground sits on the southeast shore of the lake, down about 5 km of rough gravel off the highway. Reviewers describe a lush forest full of wildflowers, glimpses of mountains over the trees and a calm, beautiful lake. One camper compared it to Kananaskis without the crowds.
The campground is clean and well maintained, with big sites and decent privacy on some loops. Loop A is the quiet choice, while B and C get busier.
