BCRV is one of the few RV parks near Vancouver, and location is what most reviewers value. It sits in Burnaby beside wooded walking and biking paths around Burnaby Lake, with transit about a 10-minute walk away, major shopping nearby, and downtown Vancouver about 45 minutes by road.
Most guests found it clean and well run. The bath house is older but well kept, there's a small convenience store, an indoor pool, a hot tub, a rooftop lounge and an RV wash. Staff get praise for being helpful, including one who lined up a mobile RV mechanic for a guest in trouble. Tent rentals are also available.
It suits travellers who want a base for sightseeing in Metro Vancouver and don't mind city sounds. Sites are reasonably separated from one another.
Road and train noise is constant, day and night, which some didn't mind and others found hard to sleep through. Sites are short and can be tight to get into; one guest noted trailers longer than about 22 to 24 feet need to park the tow vehicle in the lot. Laundry runs on a card you top up with bills only. One long-stay guest had a bad run-in with management over a payment misunderstanding and found the hot tub jets not working, and advised checking dates on store items.
