Battlefords Provincial Park mixes grassland, trees and hills around a lake, with a wide beach that staff groom daily (you'll share it with Canada geese). Reviewers describe it as clean, well organized and well maintained, with shaded, private campsites and newly paved roads that are pleasant for walking and biking. Sunsets get a mention, and wild Saskatoon berries grow through the campgrounds in season.
Firewood is free and available around the grounds, there are washrooms throughout, and a cheap laundromat is a bonus. One RVer called the dump station the best designed they'd seen in a long time. Staff are described as friendly. The park store has limited stock, but Cochin, about 8 km away, has more.
It's a strong family pick. There are several playgrounds, a dog park, a picnic shelter, beach volleyball and an ice cream shop. The boat launch can get very busy, and rentals nearby include pontoons, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and paddle bikes. A golf course next to the park offers food, lodging and good views. The campground closest to the lake is livelier; the other loops are quieter, though from some sites you'll need to drive to the beach.
Some washrooms are older and not all fixtures were working when one camper visited, and another found the North loop's washrooms not very clean. The hiking trails are unsigned and more challenging than advertised, so carry a map. Booking online adds an admin fee.
