Reviewers use it both as a road-trip stopover between Toronto, Algonquin, Tobermory and points east and as a family destination in its own right. Cleanliness is the first thing most people mention, from the roads and sites to the pools and washrooms.
Washrooms are cleaned constantly, and the shower rooms are private with good pressure. There are full hookups, easy-access sites for trailers, and cabins, some with air conditioning. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and helpful. The on-site kitchen is a favourite: the pizza gets rave reviews and can be delivered to your site, as can firewood, and garbage is collected from your site in the evening. The site is gated, which made one guest feel secure.
Families are the core crowd. There are two clean salt-water pools, with an adult-only swim time, and a busy schedule of activities and themed weekends with crafts and foam cannons. There's a nature walk where one visitor spotted wildlife.
Sites are close together with essentially no privacy, and there's only one walking trail. One RVer noted the dump station has no threaded hose for flushing tanks, so bring your own if you need one.
